Mission Statement

The mission of the Plumas Lake Wrestling Club is to provide a safe, positive, and competitive environment for young athletes to learn and develop the skills, character, and values necessary to succeed in wrestling and in life. We are committed to promoting physical fitness, mental toughness, discipline, and respect for self and others, while fostering a love for the sport of wrestling. Through dedicated coaching, teamwork, and a focus on individual growth, we aim to empower our athletes to become confident, responsible, and successful members of their community.

Meet the Wolfpack Team

Coaches: Max Struble and Mark Dickison, two dedicated wrestling coaches who bring years of experience to their roles as head coaches at Wheatland High School and Riverside Meadows Intermediate.
Together, Max and Mark make a dynamic coaching duo that is committed to helping young athletes reach their full potential. They share a passion for wrestling and a belief in the power of sports to transform lives. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced wrestler, Max and Mark are here to help you improve your skills, achieve your goals, and become the best version of yourself both on and off the mat.

Head Coach Max Struble

Max Struble has been involved in wrestling for over 20 years, first as an athlete and later as a coach. He has competed at the Junior College level, and coached at several schools in different capacities. As a coach, he is passionate about helping his wrestlers achieve their full potential both on and off the mat. He believes that wrestling is not just a sport, but a way of life that teaches valuable life skills such as discipline, perseverance, and respect for oneself and others.

Head Coach Mark Dickison

Mark Dickison is a Green Beret, a purple Belt in BJJ and a  wrestler who has been coaching at the high school and middle school levels for many years. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his role as head coach at Riverside Meadows Intermediate and Wheatland High, where he has led his team to a path of sustainable growth. As a coach, Mark is dedicated to developing well-rounded wrestlers who are not only skilled athletes but also responsible and respectful members of their communities.

Club Manager Davina Dickison

Davina brings a unique skill set and a commitment to excellence to her role as the manager of Plumas Lake Wrestling Club. Davina is a dedicated professional who is passionate about promoting the sport of wrestling and providing a safe and positive environment for young athletes to develop their skills and grow as individuals. As the Club Manager of Plumas Lake Wrestling Club, she is committed to creating a culture of excellence that encourages athletes to push themselves to reach their full potential both on and off the mat.  She is a skilled communicator who understands the importance of building relationships with athletes, coaches, and parents to create a supportive and inclusive community.
